Off subject of meat I would like to give a special thanks to Scott Turner for racing with me last weekend at West Milton triathlon. We finished 11 place out of 160 teams do to Scott's superior performance.

I also Would like to congratulate my Grandma Liette, she is turning 102 on june 24. WoW you want to talk endurance, 102 that is a long race and she just keeps on going strong.

Maybe these events do have more to do with meat and my business than I realize. Lets face it Scott would never put up that killer time without the proper nutation. Well, my Grandma's age I am sure has to do with genetics, but she also has never smoked and eats plenty of lean meat.

What can I say? It looks like a good diet with lean meat makes you do great things.

I am sorry to say the reason for the hire is because I am losing two kick butt people.

Connor who has not been with us long . He is taking a job in West Virgina to be a zip line instructor. I can not blame him I want that job myself. He will be greatly missed.

Yes and if you have been shopping at the store for awhile then you may already know Christine is moving. Christine has been my biggest help for a long time. She is a pleasure to work with and wow is she a hard worker. Christine and her family are moving to Pennsylvania do to her husbands job transfer. In all honesty I can not find the words to describe how I feel. She is an awesome worker and just an awesome person, and she is a great friend. It is like losing family and I will miss her deeply.

I am sure you have been to the fair and had one of those cheepo fritters. Yes fritter, it is nothing but a bunch of chopped and formed meat smashed together and breaded. We give you the real stuff whole muscle. Ya baby the good stuff hand cut then tenderised and breaded by hand. It is very labor intensive, but it is worth it. Christine makes them every Wednesday then we flash freeze them for your convenes. Stop on and try one, or two, or ten.

The weather is getting so nice, if you are like me I have serious cabin fever. I can not wait to get out and do stuff. Last week went to the Arnold Classic  WOW!!! it was sweet. I was actually a judge for the Crossfit  sectionals.  It was amazing I was three feet from Arnold him self, but that was not the real excitement. It was clearly the athletes at the games a lot of my gym family(Practice crossfit) competed and I am super proud of all of you. How does this all tie into the Troy Meat shop? Well diet..diet.. diet. not only do I workout with a great group of  people they are also my customers. Lean meats are a major part to a health diet and crossfitters can put down the food. This delicious spicy sausage is a New Orleans favorite, and with Mardi Gras right around the corner Troy Meat Shop is ready to party Cajun style.
Lets talk andouille, it is a spicy coarsely ground sausage in a natural casing then smoked...
This hot little sausage is very universal in use. Pretty much any sausage recipe that that needs a kick andouille will do. Most people use andouille in jambalaya, gumbo, mix it into their burgers or omelets and even BBQ sauces.
So come in and try a sample of our own homemade andouille, we would love your feedback on our new recipe..

Happy New Year. 

I would like to thank everyone for all of their business through 2009. Thank you for the wonderful attempt to turn my non-profit  organization into a profitable one. 

For 2010, I would like to make Troy Meat Shop a more personable and comfortable shopping experience. To start I would like to share one of my New Year resolutions for Troy Meat shop.

After a brief hiatus of blogging I am going to make a resolution to blog weekly.

Following an in depth meeting with the crew more goals shall follow.
